I don't think this latest General Motors car-giveaway campaign -- where GM has partnered with conservative radio and TV talk-show host Sean Hannity -- is a very good idea. I don't think it's such a hot idea either. Vannity looks like an idiot .............. not too much of a stretch at times.

Its ok for major companies to align with a liberal group, or even a radical homosexual group. But they'd better not align with a conservative group which represents the majority in this country. If they do that they are on the wrong path.

Hannity should give away the following:

GM realizes that most liberals drive Toyota's, Honda's or Subaru's.

So they advertise at gay pride rallies, Christian rock concerts, in gay magazines and on Sean Hannity. The way their balance sheet looks just now, i don't think GM is in a position to turn its back on any audience.

Well, at least this guy admits that he's a card-carrying member of the liberal drive-by media who want nothing more than to tear down all that is good and right with America!
To: ajolympian2004
I'm no fan of Hannity, but what the heck? He has a huge listenership consisting of people with jobs and money, and who don't see cars as the vehicle of the devil. There's a reason why nobody wants to advertise on Air Amerika...

The initial reaction of a substantial portion of readers will be this: "Of course you don't think it's a good idea, because you are a card-carrying member of the liberal drive-by media who want nothing more than to tear down all that is good and right with America!" Rush coins a phrase and within a month or three it is common usage. Sweet!

Yeah, stick to those unbiased news outlets like CBS, ABC, and the N.Y. Times. You know, the ones you have spent countless millions of advertising dollars on, who's main agenda is to see America become a moral, military, and cultural wasteland, ripe for our enemies to attack.

Presumably GM is making a rational calculation about who it can reach through its promotions. If Hannity is popular, it's a good deal. Furthermore, the audience he reaches is inclined to buy American if it can help it.
Mr. Smith isn't playing with a full deck.

GM is stupid for partnering with Sean who many people disagree with but the Dixie Chicks and that wack job rapper are bastions of enlighten thought for trash talking Bush.
Just another example of the Leftist Cult of Hypocrisy

BULLSH!T!!! Anti-American POS dims drive volvos and hybrids, pedal bicycles, walk, or ride in CORPORATE JETS THAT ARE "GOING THERE ANYWAY"!
GM knows more about where America's head is than all of the fake manufactured polls of today. This author even admits that the msm is biased and that he is a card carrying member of same. Open your eyes naysayers!

"For General Motors to align itself with one host, one political party, one point of view, is a bad decision."
Not if it's the right host, the right political party and the right point of view. You Libs think that there are two versions of truth. Uh-uh. Only one will do. The truth isn't relative.
Here's to GM who has the guts to do what's right. All you Ford boycotters - buy a Corvette or Impala or Tahoe.
