Wow. That's quite a story.

Going back and reading the Baltimore SUn article in full, the following sentence:

he threatening e-mail was linked to a computer user with strong views about politics and Maryland Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr., according to court records.

appears to set forward their evidence. They looked for someone with a user name "Orwell" and found you, and you also lived in the Baltimore area, and you were pokitically "active" i.e., a freeper.

Hmmm

And checking your computer, it would appear, did not produce any further evidence? If yes, and (better yet) if you can account for your whereabouts and actiities at the time in question, then it would appear that they really don't have a case.

Did they offer any further evidence in their chraging documents?

The charging documents are full of fraudlent statements and misquotes. For example, they claimed they saw me "rush" back to my computer, as if I were trying to hide evidence. Actually, I was rushing out to get the collar for my dog, a pit bull. In order to try to get me to confess to something I didn't do, they threatened to shoot my dog. They claimed my computer had a message on it that I had removed a data device, which one office told me was a USB "module". I told him I didn't know what a USB "module" was. Even after searching me and spending hours searching the house, as their charging documents say, though couldn't any data device, which is the excuse they used to steal my computer. They also "lost" my cell phone while I was locked up.
