If the White Sox aren't going to do it at least some ne from the division did. I think they are going all the way this year.

Gotta say something nasty. Must be a Yankees or Oakland fan.

To come from the absolute depths just a few years ago makes this an amazing sports story. Congrats.

I am really getting a kick out of the Tigers this playoffs..
I see them with Pudge Rodriguez and Kenny Rogers, both of whom were mainstays for the Texas Rangers for years...
Pudge should never have been allowed to leave..and what does he do? He promptly goes to the Florida Marlins and wins a World Series...and possibly is going to do the same with the Tigers...
I am rooting hard for the Tigers...Texas North, doncha know...LOL

It was fun to watch. Leyland is a great manager, and I don't see any arrogance in the players. They seem very grateful to the fans. Might be something to that "destiny" thing. Also, I can't remember seeing that many flame-throwing pitchers (95-103 mph) on one staff before.

LOL! Well, there were riots after the Tigers won the Series in 1984. I guess I still remember those....
'Course, Detroit isn't the only place with sports riots.... I seem to recall Boston had one within the last couple of years.

How can any red-blooded baseball-loving American root for anybody else?
They lost 113 games just a couple of years ago.
Baseball used to be THE American pastime.
And that makes my eyes watery and puts a lump in my throat.

Ah, the Fall of '68..... :-)
I went to school for awhile in St. Louis. Red Schoendiest's daughter lived in my dorm. That is the only name in sports I'll ever be able to drop. LOL
Hope your weekend is going well. I have a hard week of cat herding ahead of me and then back again on the 24th.
Give your little girls a hug for me. :-)
