"I'd much rather see every one of these terroristic, persecuting Sauls become transformed into Pauls."
Your sentiment is admirable. But what is the liklihood of this happening? Saul/Paul was never a Muslim.
The Jews of Paul's time were happy to stone people to death, to crucify them, and to kill them in other creative ways. Saul/Paul himself stood by, helpfully holding coats, when St. Stephen was stoned to death.
Don't sell Paul's conversion short.
Well, the only way they can be part of a religion that truly has peace as part of it (having God's peace in Christ) is that they will be transformed from Saul's to Paul's.
You are right that Saul/Paul was not a muslim, but he was a very energetic and enthusiastic persecutor of the church, and he had the full backing of the majority of the Sanhedrin. He watched over and served as a just witness (ie he officially approved of the stoning death) to the first Christian martyr, Stephen. He repeatedly went ot the religious jewish leaders for orders to allow him to continue his persecutions of Christians outside of Jerusalem. So in this aspect Saul has many similarities to the modern day islamofascists.
Unsaved is unsaved, they use force to try to convert, else if not, they kill you.
