Probably better to settle accounts in the Middle East and Iran first. Lord knows how, though.

Is it possible that something quite the opposite is in the works?

A confused, poorly led, poorly informed, predisposed and unintelligent White House that rejects rational discussions of option, dissenting views and rejects views that disturb them from military planners, force strength and logistic experts can be expected to vacillate, wander and change intent the way a woman changes an evening dress on non-specific whims. The gang that can't plan straight, shoot straight or speak straight reasonably shouldn't be expected to decide or execute wisely. FUBAR is their preferred position when it comes to war fighting and foreign policy execution. I say it is the preferred position because it is the position we've assumed in each of those endeavors since the taking of Baghdad in March 2003.
