Murtha Friend Code Pink's Tradition of Funding America's Enemies Who Kill Marines

At a Town Meeting with Jim Moran, John Murtha accepted an award and an endorsement from Code Pink, an anti-war front group founded by committed Marxist Medea Benjamin, the author of three books praising the Cuban Revolution, who lived in Cuba in the late 70s and early 80s, and a was a writer for one of Castro's state run communist newspapers.

Around january of 2005, Code Pink sent $650,000 in cash and medical supplies to people Code Pink described in their own words as "the other side". In fact, Code Pink distributed it to residents of Fallujah, well known to be sympathetic to the terrorists that killed many Marines during the fighting there.

Code Pink claimed it was "humanitarian aid" but I have recently come across past events that disputing this claim.

The names of the front groups change but the leaders remain the same. One of Code Pink's leaders is Sandra Brim. Brim led the Code Pink delegation to Iraq just before the outbreak of war, was the public face of Code Pink and wrote the blog that recorded their efforts in Iraq.

Sandra Brim was the Executive Director of Medical Aid For El Salvador (MAES). In December of 1986, MAES pulled a similar ploy to fly 500,000 pounds of medical suppiles to El Salvador. Pledging that it would go to displaced civilians, civilian amputees, sick and wounded children and combatants from both sides, MAES raised the $1 million needed.

MAES also used the reputation of Archbishop Atruro Rivera y Damas, who lent his name to the MAE campaign. MAES attempted to double cross everyone and deliver all the medical supplies only to the FLMN communists in Chalatengo. The Archbishop and the US Embassy stepped in and saw to it that the supplies were distributed to both sides as promised.

The common elements here are the same leftist radical leader in groups claiming humanitarian aid while funneling it to the anti-US forces. MAES attempted to help only one side, Code Pink was successful in helping only one side.

To date, Code Pink claims only to have sent "baskets of goodies" to the troops at Walter Reed Army Hosiptal, a claim without any substatiation and certainly costing much less than $650,000. In addition, former DC leader for Code Pink Alison Yora's public plea for $20 contributions for such a project during a holiday period recieved no replies where she posted it.

If Code pink is truely neutral as they will claim, they need to match the $650,000 they sent to terrorist sympathsizers in Fallujah with $650,000 to an organization like Fisher House.

The information regarding the attempt to funnel $1 million in medical supplies only to the FLMN can be found on page 129 of "The Third Current of Revolution (Inside The North American Front of El Salvador's Guerrilla War" by J. Michael Waller.

Interestingly, on page 128, it is noted that MAES called it a "landmark victory" when it was successfull in getting a doctor to fly from Los Angeles to operation on one of the FLMN's top leaders Nidia Diaz's hand. That happened in August of 1985, just after Diaz's communist rebels had murdered four UNARMED US Marines in civilian clothes from the Embassy Security Detail as they ate in an outdoor cafe.

The botton line is this, both Code Pink and Medical Aid For El Salvador raised money for aid that they intended to go only to one side, the side opposing the United States. Both Code Pink and Medical Aid For El Salvador sent money to the side that killed US Marines. Sandra Brim is a leader in both groups.

What is John Murtha's reply to these facts? Will he renounce their support and return their award?

Yet a Code Pink shirted lady at the Tucson "World Can't Wait" rally kept telling me she wasn't Communist! I related much of this information to her, yet she still denied that Code Pink sent money to the "other side" and that Code Pink supported Communism. Why not just be proud of their Marxist beliefs? Well, I guess because it's nothing to be proud of!

\/\/ayne: "Code Pink sent over $600,000 in money and supplies to the "other side" in Fallujah!"

Code Pink: "Who said that!?"

\/\/ayne: "Medea Benjamin. Ever heard of her?" I pulled out the article with the quote highlighted but she refused to look at it.

Murtha would sell out America if there was enough money in it for him. Pray the voters of 12th District wake up and see that sack of crap for what he really is.

When you show up at a RCP/WCW rally to support their cause, you are either a liar or a dummy. No way anything else fits.

Good work.

These people "Code Pink" are not neutral. When they sent money to the enemy which is exactly what they did, they were TRAITORS. Our guys did an EXCELLENT JOB in Fallujah and I will not back off of what I just said. Those Marines are part of the Best of the Best. God Bless America and All who have protected Her. Code Pink can shove off.
