Didn't the Sandanistas expropriate a lot of property when they got power?
I seem to remember reading they have a good shot at becoming elected this time around, so I might worry a bit before investing over there.
What are your thoughts?

The Orteguistas are a problem, but even they won't kill the goose that laid the golden egg. Even Daniel Ortega loves the money the gringos spend on the coast. This is the same guy who invited leftists from America and Europe (the "Sandalistas") ostensibly as a token of gratitude, but in reality to bring dollars into the country.
Nevertheless, one should tread carefully down there.
