But it sure makes a great religion!
What a load of revisionist sciencific coprolite.
It never inspired any confidence amongst intelligent people.
I just clicked on the link. This piece is included at Dembski's website, but he did not write it. He posted it to invite others to discuss its merits and demerits.
It's fascinating that the most dogmatic evolutionists are not from agnostic/atheistic continental Europe...rather they are from the English speaking world--Americans and Britons mostly.
The French and the Germans scientific communities are more open to doubting evolution than any scientists in the USA.
It's too bad so many people buy into it.
A cult or high control group has specific ways of controlling people including but not limited to divorcing the new recruits from family or friends and shunning by the entire group to penalize those that attempt to leave the group. The leadership must be obeyed at all cost and in some cases this will involve premature death.
Just because there are people on this db who actually understand science and are willing to debate the facts does not make them part of a cult.
I have seen what cults have done first hand. The premature death, the child rape and the creed bigotry is painful to see and watch. Are you telling me that people who practice science or support scientific critical thinking on this db are doing the same? Maybe you should go read a few of Steve Hassan's books on high control groups.
There might be hope for them yet.
Incredible
The geological column could have been laid down in months, not millions of years.
What is it that makes so many willing to ignore the obvious?
We do not need to disprove evolution to cause God to exist.
wow
Enough of these false religious theories like evolution. Something needs to change. We need to go back to using leeches instead of those so-called anti-biotics. The atheists would have us believe leeches have no value when we all know God gave us leeches to be a natural cure. Similarly, there was nothing ever wrong with blood-letting. It always worked quite well.
"Professor Giertych introduced the subject by relating how his children had returned home from school having been taught about the theory of evolution. They were told that the proof of macroevolution - the common ancestry of biological life - was to be found in the science of genetics. This was news to Professor Giertych who had spent his life working at the highest level of genetic research. He revealed to the meeting that such proof does not exist in genetics, only disproof."
Amen, good observation on his part.
