Once upon a time Julia Wilson dreamed of becoming the next Christina Aguilera, a pop star famous for glamour but not politics. Instead, she's become the next Cindy Sheehan, receiving global attention for displaying her anger at President Bush.

The story of the Sacramento teenager questioned last week by federal agents about her anti-Bush Web page has spread around the world, with newspapers in Egypt, China, Australia and Europe publishing articles about her and national television stations clamoring for interviews.

Just imagine if a far-right-wing 14-year-old kid with similarly-minded parents had, during the Clinton years, posted "Kill Clinton" in his blog/MySpace/etc.

Kid would have been questioned, as is proper. But my point is THE DOUBLE STANDARD.

It's like shutting down the Minuteman speaker at Columbia. One standard for the Left, another for all others.

Exactly, double standard.

This little shrew has clearly made a good career move, although she probably didn't have that in mind.

Still, it's nice to see that her parents are at least pretending to be anxious. Maybe they, and their obnoxious daughter, will lose some friends over this.

Her husband said the public reaction reflects the country's "venomous" political climate.

Your daughter is a disgusting little bitch, Mr Wilson, and you are to blame.

These so-called parents make me want to puke. If my 14-year old put out a website that said "Kill Clinton" with a violent photo montage as she did, I would APOLOGIZE publically for it, and punish her severely. I would never blame America and the "political climate" for her despicable act.
