Our lunchtime recess favorite at my elementary school was "War". Most of the boys in school would congregate in roughly equal groups on opposite sides lower baseball field. Then about ten minutes before class resumed the sides would charge each other, tackle and wrestle the other side to the ground. Amazingly nobody was killed, paralized, or had their self-esteem permannetly damaged. But of course there were fewer lawyers back then, and there were actually men involved in running the schools. Today K-6 schools are almost exclusively the provice of women.

All of the "Dangerous and exclusionary" playground games shall henceforth be replaced by the following ACLU-approved playground games:

"Burn the Flag"

"Dodgeresponsibility"

"Hide and shred"

"Go to the Head of the Madras"

"Pin the blame on the Bible-thumping Christian Right-wing Fundamentalist"

"Guess Pat's Gender"

"One-Circle" (Because four-square is dangerous and exclusionary and we want our children to be one in consciousness, Kum-bah-yah... except for Christians and Jews.")
