There-in lies the rub. 'Something' as you(the conspiracist groupies) see it, or 'something' as I see it.
In your subjective viewpoint, it is but one part of a much, much broader collectuon of 'somethings', which makes it more significant. Objectively, it a single incident and insignificant.
As part of the broader conspiracy, the details are irrelevant. As a single event, the details, or lack of details, or slanting of the details, are highly relevant and more important than the event.
