I do not remember a person starting a world series game with such a poor 5.06 ERA.
Does ERA stand for equal rights amendment in this case?

I do not remember a person starting a world series game with such a poor 5.06 ERA. I was amazed that the Mets had to go with a pitcher who had a worse record and a worse era in game 7. But he did give them 6 solid innings allowing just one run, so who knows anything can happen.

Game 2 starter's (Weaver) ERA: 5.18 (for St. Louis), 5.76 overall.
