The insurgent videotapes were reviewed very carefully, not only by CNN journalists, but also with the advice and guidance of a recently retired US Marines sniper and CNN's military analyst, Brigadier General David Grange (Retired). In particular, General Grange was able to advise on the significance of the insurgent use of snipers from his extensive service as a Ranger, Green Beret, and as a member of Delta Force.

This reverence to "advice and guidance" by a Marine sniper and BG (retired) Grange is a little vaguely written. I wonder if they were asked at all (by CNN) about showing the videotape, or were just asked questions about sniper techniques, etc.

Has anyone discussed this issue with these two military personnel?

CNN may just be using them as a smokescreen/CYA reference.

An interesting tidbit buried in yesterday's usual litany of gloom, doom, and disaster from AP:

Elsewhere, U.S. forces said they killed a key coordinator of foreign fighters under al-Qaida in Iraq in a raid in Ramadi west of Baghdad. They said the man, who was not identified by name, had been responsible for providing weapons and financing to foreign fighters in the country, as well as producing and distributing video clips and other propaganda.

CNN uses its contacts to come up with a video from a clandestine terrorist source. A week later just such a source is tracked down and killed by US troops. Is there a pro-American loyalist mole embedded in the CNN hierarchy?

Bravo! This guy needs a standing ovation for this one. CNN is clearly now, and always has been on the side of the enemy, and along with their comrades in the MSM are doing all they can to undermine the war and this administration. Sadly, the public falls for this propaganda hook line and sinker. As for shielding us from disturbing pictures from 911, they don't want to see and remember! We just might get angry and want to fight back. God help us all.

Didn't the lamestream press say they didn't want to show Video of the Twin Tower victims jumping to their deaths because Americans would be traumatize? So how is this different?

This video will scare more uninformed people into wanting to cut and run from Iraq, and elect more Democrats.

Showing the true horrors of 9/11 will inspire more people to rally against the enemy, and vote for more Republicans.

I like all the suggestions to have CNN blocked. Unfortunately, I think you pay for it anyway as part of the basic cable package. They get your money whether you wish to support them or not. Isn't that true?
