First the ad was shown in an exaggerated perspective so you could see the ad but not see the text. They claimed it was 'too small' to see anyway.
SECOND they cut the '64 Daisy ad onto the back end of it to suggest exploitation of fear. I don't know if there is a version of the ad.
Thoid... their on 'well respected' staff political anal-ist hack said '...this is a last ditch desperate attempt by the Republicans, and it will not work'.
Fred Barnes showed it on his program with Mort - and Barnes was excited about it and said it was long overdue. Mort wasn't so excited, but he didn't have any negative comments about it.
This is a sensational ad - but I have a couple of complaints. First - the wording is not large enough. Secondly, the wording moves too fast and a lot of people will not be able to get the context of the msg.
but .. I loved it!!
