"And in my thinking that lack of moral judgement has corrupted nearly everything else they touch."
Indeed it does!
Well, I wouldn't be surprised to discover that potions were involved.
I don't know how high up the food chain this case got, but it sounds like, worst case, it only has to do with Virginia. And my untutored guess is if a similar case ended up in front of a judge in another district or circuit, a more sensible interpretation of "any person" could be used, and then it would be appealed.I do want to say that I don't think it's right to dump on her lawyer. He's got to do the best he can defending her, and if he can persuade a judge to adopt an interpretation of the law favorable to his client, good on him. The fault is the judges' for falling for that stuff.
LOL. I was thinking the same thing.
This is disgusting. How could they let her off for this and still sleep at night?
why waste our taxpaying dollars to keep this human piece of garbage alive? She should have the death penalty!
It is a little more complicated than voting. As near as I can tell the judges in Virgina are elected to the post by other judges.
This is another example of a ruling by this crackpot judge. The judge gave a man who killed his bother a year in jail and he had the option of serving that on work release:
Parker sentenced Randolph to 10 years in the penitentiary with all but 12 months in jail suspended. He could serve that on work release, said Parker, who said he hoped Randolph would be able to get back the job he had lost at Falcon Cable pending the outcome of the trial.
Do you have links? This should be more well known.
"why waste our taxpaying dollars to keep this human piece of garbage alive? She should have the death penalty!"
Maybe so. If anyone does, she does. I simply would rather have her alive, in prison to let this monstrous crime weigh on her conscience. If she doesn't currently have one, I would pray that the Lord bless her with one.
And in my thinking that lack of moral judgement has corrupted nearly everything else they touch.
This is the very reason I'm voting Republican. I'm totally disgusted with the actions of our party so I'm NOT voting "for" them, I'm voting "against" Democrats, because the GOP is the "lesser of two evils", and that's the only game in town. I won't waste my vote on a third party, no matter how conservative they are because they won't win, and this is too important of an election than to let the RATS take over. Hopefully we can start getting rid of the RINOS, until we are the conservative party we once were. We allowed the RINOS in, and it's up to us to get rid of them, because they are corrupt to the core!
I just hope that the people who have left the GOP because they're fed up with President Bush and the RINOS will consider that there will probably be at least two openings on the Supreme Court and because of that, we MUST get conservative justices on it, or it won't matter about any more elections. We KNOW the RATS will put someone like Ruth Bader-Ginsberg that Clinton appointed. The RATS will ram gun control through and the court will take away our right to own them. The bottom line is that I'm voting for the GOP for the only chance we have of pulling America out of the downward spiral to destruction. They don't need to feel too arrogant about winning because we didn't do it for them, we did it for ourselves, and for generations to come. IF they betray us again, then we'll have to start a recall and throw them out of office. Perhaps then they will KNOW we are fed up.
