Yes, Big Mama Obama has just left Baghdad. And he has a solution to our problems in that country: "more minorities."
It is often said that if you only have a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. Increasingly, Obama is a hammer hitting on minority nails. He doesnt represent the people of Illinois. He represents "minorities" in the U. S. Senate. Of course, Republicans elected Obama, so maybe we have no right to complain. Maybe. Still.
I can criticize President Bush and his policies in Iraq on many grounds. But not doing enough to include "minorities" is not one of Bush's failings. Bush has done everything but do somersaults to include Sunnis in the new Iraq. Whether you agree or disagree with his policies, no one can seriously allege that he has not had enough "affirmative action" for Sunnis.
But for professional minorities such as Obama, there is never enough minority participation, never enough affirmative action, never enough, enough. Obama is becoming a slicker version of Jessie Jackson, always ready to pitch up in a crisis and claim more "minority participation" is the only solution.
It's enough to make you feel sympathetic for the President. Big Mama Obama in Baghdad. What will they think of next?
Obama was afraid to stay out among the Iraqis, and spent his brief Baghdad sojourn safely ensconced in an American fortress. He traveled under guard. What did he see of Iraq? Virtually nothing. But in one day in Baghdad Obama came up with the solution to the mess in Iraq: more minority participation.
Am I picking on Obama? Yes I am. He is a prototypical example of American arrogance that has existed and flourished since the Viet-Nam war. The 24-hour expert. I remember seeing "congressional delegations" fly in and out of Viet-Nam and become instant experts.
While living in Baghdad in 2003 I saw congressional delegations fly into Baghdad and similarly become experts in 24 hours. It was all a phony photo op. Both Republicans and Democrats are guilty.
This Friday (the 13th) I will be outlining my views on Iraq at the Cook County Republican Convention in Rosemont. I have spent 35 years in and out of the Middle East. You may agree, or disagree, with my opinions and conclusions. But you can't accuse me of being a 24-hour wonder.
What does Iraq have to do with the Illinois governor's race? Buy a ticket, support Cook County Republicans, and come to hear what I have to say. It will be interesting.
In the meantime, let's give Obama's prescriptions the same amount of seriousness he gives himself. Virtually none. Touchingly, Obama was playing basketball while in the Middle East. But then, what would you expect?
What a laugh. Another racist thug in the making...
Almost forgot that in electing Obama voters in Illinois gave up the chance for some real "diversity" ~
Did you know that John Kerry served in Viet Nam?
Cook County has a Republican party? ROFL
Did you hear the new parody on Rush today? OMG. I thought I would pee my pants it was THAT funny. Mainly, it's Ted Kennedy and all of his slip-ups pronouncing the guys name. ROF funny. :)
Get the firetruck outta here!!!! sKerry was in Viet Nam???? Who would have ever known??? lol
Obama is not even an empty suit. He is a picture of an empty suit. Or rather, a picture of a drawing of a concept of a suit. There is no there, there. And nobody even knows where 'there' is that he isn't there at.
Stop me before I scream at my TV again.....
Yeah...ain't THAT a shocker !
I think there's a video of that on YouTube!
It's new-age white guilt, and it's the latest thang.
He's in Phoenix, AZ tonight.
Not sure if he was in Baghdad.
Osama Obamamama...
I hope you're wrong about Harold Ford, Jr., in Tennessee.
That was no parody, that was the real teddy. FOX showed video this evening, and ted looked even drunker and stupider than he sounded on the radio.
He's a minority in the Senate alright - the son and then stepson of Muslims.
Obama was _conceived_ by whites!
Well, by one, anyway.
Zebra.
