Well, when a group has a disproprotionately large number of members who act like demoniacs (cf. numerous publicly available videos of beheadings to the chanting of 'Allahu Akbar'), and the rest of the group either cheers (more demonic behavior) or is silent, it seems the group is self-demonizing.
It's almost funny, if you look on it as a silly absurdity. But, the ramifications are to serious. So, in fact, it's tragic.
