I agree the first conversation you should have before talking about abortion is talking about sex.
Most fathers don't understand that they are their daughters' first boyfriend. How a girl is treated by her dad is the barometer for what she will look for in a boyfriend. When daughters start changing, dad's tend to pull back from all the hugging and physical attention they did when their daughter was little. Girls think something is wrong with them, and they go looking for physical attention from hormonal boys.
Think about it...it makes a lot of sense. Keep telling your daughter how wonderful/smart/beautiful she is and she will look for a boyfriend/husband who does the same!
This is an article about child abuse, brought to you by the same crowd that has still not recovered from the scandal of Tom Foley sending inappropriate messages to boys the same age as the teenage daughter in the story. I can hardly think of anything more evil than convincing a young woman that her natural love for unborn babies is just childish nonsense. The mother here is clearly in for a Millstone Moment.
