this is about as incompetent, dysfunctional and trivial a Congress as this proud nation has ever seen.

Our R congressmen haven't done a great job by any means, but how about noting the obstructionism they have faced from day 1. Dems were the ones demanding the new congress be bipartisan and let's all work together. Crap! They started acting like children on day 2.

What strikes me in my district. My Republican congressman has not offered one reason to vote for him. Not one. He attacks his opponent, has done some kissing babies, meeting with vets ads. But he has yet said one word exactly about what he wants to do in office the next two years. I wonder if he even knows. Does he want to tackle immigration? Cut taxes? Stay the course in Iraq? Who knows, he isn't saying. I already voted for him, because the dim is obviously much worse, but I think it's symptomatic. He is running on nothing other than his opponent is bad. But he hasn't given voters a reason to vote for him. He also is down in the polls and likely to lose. I wonder if he realizes this might be a reason why.

W hasn't done much to help clear the way, either. He could have used the "bully pulpit" to help advance his and the Congress' agenda. He did not, IMHO.
