And you are one reason I am confident the Dims won't win much this year either. Thank you.
Guess who wasn't on that plane.
Who?
Elvis?
I remember that. A "memorial" that turned into a political rally. Pathetic.
Does anyone know where the audio link is of the lib's tirade at the Wellstone rally?
The swimmer was supposed to be on that plane, but cancelled his trip at the last minute.
I still don't know why - but I watched that memorial service at home. I think many of us in Minnesota did.
I noticed the band playing before it started and the entourage of laughing, back-slapping liberal politicans taking their seats.
I looked over at my mom and said "This doesn't seem like much of a memorial service to me".
The service started out pretty ordinary 'til Sen Tom Harkin started the ranting. It was followed by Rick Kahn, his campaign treasurer who had the most memorable rant of all. Last was Paul's son (I forget his name). Because he lost his dad, I could excuse just about anything that came out of his mouth.
I was amazed at what I saw. All of it. "The Stand Up - Keep Fighting" buttons...in short everything.
On that night, Walter Mondale blew at 10-point lead in the polls and never re-gained it.
Hmmmm. It wouldn't have gotten off the ground, and all those people would have lived...
Ahh, the Funerally.
What, did he get a call from certain Hill-da-beast?
Fat Teddy?
Really? I don't know that. Interesting.
Found a little taste here: http://www.exposetheleft.com/old/2006/02/07/wellstonefuneral/
Hey, you realize we're not supposed to say mean and nasty things about liberals right after they die, don't you? It's just not a gracious thing to do. Of course, after they've been dead a while they become fair game again. But I feel like you've taken Wellstone off the table today with just this one post. It's like he died all over again. And that makes me very sad, indeed.
Thanks. I'm going to send it to my liberal neigbors.
Still, to this day, I see "Wellstone!" and "Never Park the Bus" Bumper Stickers - almost EVERY DAY !!!!!
Could you refresh my memory as to what Rick Kahn said?
Thanks.
proletarian hero dies rich bourgois death on private plane. should've taken Greyhound
You too??
Mondale! Mondale! Mondale!
