I would have been concerned if they didn't have the beige leotards, but since they were completely covered (likely more coverage than they would normally have on an average school day....), I don't see a problem. Apparently other students had costumes that involved leotards (Superman).
Was their choice a good one, maybe not. Would I have approved of such a costume for my child, probably not. But I don't see a major problem that justified sending them home.

So exactly which superhero outfit is 'appropriate' for school?I've wondered that myself. Every super hero I've ever seen on TV or at the movies wore leotards or barely there attire. The school should have put more thought into their "Super Hero Day" if they were going to object to outfits such as this.
