Mud, Mud, Mud. Get's tiresome.

Of course, it does. But they wouldn't sling the slime if it didn't work.

In fact, "tiresome" is part of the strategy's objective. When political races get "tiresome" and people are being turned off, only the committed come out to vote. Negative campaigning is designed to suppress the other side's turnout of "leaners".

That said, mud begets mud. It's been long time since the Democrats were even remotely civil. I can't blame a Republican for responding in kind.

...but that doesn't negate his talents as a writer, which are considerable.

Webb's writings are mostly turgid crap sprinkled with lurid--sometimes pedophilic--sex.

Underage, incestuous, homosexual sex scenes....

.....trashing and belittling women. He's got it all. The "N" word is used something like 11 times in his books.

Mark Levin just read and posted on the thread (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1726527/posts?page=357#357 ) some passages -- had to censor those he read for presentation over the air.

I guess so, I thought 2 minutes would be enough time to get that in, apparently now it is down to 10 seconds.

Writers have this problem ~ I think I must have 28,000 posts on FR alone, and then there are several myriad of other letters to the editors, commentaries, and all sorts of stuff all over the place.

No doubt someone can and will take offense at something I've said.

All I have to say to them is "Stuff It".

Webb is going to defend it as "necessary literary artiface".

On the other hand it looks like he was started on a "cock book" doesn't it?

Bwahahahahahahaha

-there was a thread I hit on that was quickly removed that had a link to this -- it's been "out there" for awhile as his books are all over.

Did no one think to say anything about this before? Or were they waiting until just before the election? October surprises make me nervous. I'm never convinced how they're gonna play out.

If only Sherrod Brown or Robert Casey had such writings.

Gee, can't we play the game the Dems do-- fib and just say they did? (JK)

I agree with those who say an author can write anything he wants. But Mrs. Smith conservative mom in Virginia also has the right not to elect him a senator if she finds it disgusting.

right. telling the truth (and there is no proof allen did this) means one is going to the gutter. let the facts speak for themselves.

What was the "Foley fiasco"? Was it that somebody collected internet communications and shopped them for months?

Was it that Nancy the Protector, now measuring her drapes refuses to go under oath and say what she knew and when she knew it.

Or maybe the prefabbed "Foley fiasco" was outed the day after the Senate voted 80-19 (and one lone non-voter old immigration guru Teddy Kennedy) in passage of the House Border Fence bill.

Remember old Hillry claimed the House of Representatives would make Jesus illegal if they got the chance, yet old Hillry voted for the House bill for border security.

If this is true, Webb pandering to perversions speaks poorly for his character. There is no way around this. Simply saying he does not indulge or approve of the behavior is an insufficient excuse.

Troubled and troubling individuals feast on this kind of pornography. It makes little difference who writes it or why they write it.
