NJ's Gay Ex-Governor Says He Would Marry (Dems wishing he would shut up)
Associated Press ^ | 27 Oct 06 | None

Former Gov. James McGreevey, who resigned after acknowledging a gay affair, said he would tie the knot with his partner if state lawmakers decide to allow gay marriage.

"Marriage would offer the ability to bless our relationship in a committed way," McGreevey, 49, told The New York Times.

McGreevey's comments followed a state Supreme Court ruling Wednesday that same-sex couples must be given the same rights as married people. The court left it up to the Legislature to decide whether to extend those rights under the structure of marriage or something else.

Some gay-rights advocates said the decision didn't go far enough. McGreevey, who told The Associated Press last month that he had publicly opposed gay marriage while in office as a way to keep his homosexuality hidden, hailed the ruling.

"I applaud the court's courage," McGreevey told the AP. "I regret not having had the fortitude to embrace this right during my tenure as governor."

The former governor stepped down in 2004 after announcing he was gay.

McGreevey now lives with Mark O'Donnell, a 43-year-old Australian businessman. Before they could marry, the former governor would have to finalize his divorce from his second wife.

Even the MSM is acknowledging what the Liberal blogs picked up on 2 days ago: the NJ court decision is backfiring on Democrats by energizing the GOP base.

Drudge has this one his front page as well:

NYT RULING ON GAY MARRIAGES ENERGIZES REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES...

McGreevey's decision to blather his sins is making some Liberals fume on the blogs and on talk radio here in Philly.

Hillary is now on record today as favoring gay marriage in New York State. She and Janet Reno can finally get married!

You know, between McSleezy's homosexual frenzy in New Jersey and Jim Webb's child porn in Virginia, this election is beginning to look up for the GOP.

Leave it to the 'Rats to snatch defeat from the jaws of a possible victory.

Sit down Bill, that word "snatch" was being used as a verb, not as a noun.

Did you read Camille Paglia's interview in Salon? I respect her (although she is a lesbian atheist). She is observant, smart, and honest.

She says the Foley escapade manufactured by the Democrats and the MSM is going to backfire.

Moreover, it is the Democrats who are now paying the price as the days of the election draw closer. James Webb (Democrat running for Senator in Virginia) is now the gay poster boy with his weird writings:

– Lost Soldiers: “A shirtless man walked toward them along a mud pathway. His muscles were young and hard, but his face was devastated with wrinkles. His eyes were so red that they appeared to be burned by fire. A naked boy ran happily toward him from a little plot of dirt. The man grabbed his young son in his arms, turned him upside down, and put the boy’s penis in his mouth.”

Bantam Books, NY, 1st Edition, 2001, (hard cover), page 333.
Quote is from para. 10,.Chap. 34.

"Marriage would offer the ability to bless our relationship in a committed way," McGreevey, 49, told The New York Times.

*************

Ironic, considering the fact that he was married previously.

This creep has absolutely no concern for his daughter's feelings.

Absoultely.

Also, the NY Post published an article that show the callousness of McGreevey.

He lives in a mansion with his homosexual lover, while his cast off wife and little daughter live in a small 1,400 sq ft salt box of a house.

"The former governor stepped down in 2004 after announcing he was gay."

Never forget that he resigned because he was corrupt. His being gay was the worse kept secret in the state.

I think his chosen life style is just plain evil. That said, his worst sin is what he has done to his former wife and young daughter. Words can't express what I think of this person.
