On a lighter note:
In dealing with Islamic countries, insist on reciprocation or no deal. If they want to build a mosque or Islamic school in our country, we should be able to build a church and a Christian school in theirs.
I LOVE this. I'm Catholic, and I figure if there are mosques in Rome, we should have at least a chapel in Mecca. I'm not holding my breath though.
I gotta get me one of those!
I went to a lecture on the Arab mind the other night and the suggestion that we insist in reciprocity was made there too. That we don't do that is madness.
I appreciate your other suggestions and think that we should all try to become more involved using whatever resources and time we have available.
I STILL remember when Bush was excoriated for saying the word "crusade", right after 9/11....
That should have been a signal about how hard it would be, even in our own country...with our own MEDIA...to fight this fight.
If enough Christian voters tighten the screws on these politicians, and make it stick by voting them out, there will be chapels, churches and maybe even a cathedral in Mecca. Write them, call them and tell them clearly that it is reciprocation or no deal. Of course, it might be "no deal", and that's okay, too. - We've become too fat, lazy and soft.
