"Do you know any particulars on this aspect of his behaviors?"

His entire life screams "no core values" to me:

He wrote a 1979 article about how women shouldn't be in combat. Then he later partially disavowed the article to become Reagan's Navy secretary.

He went from being a Reagan Republican to a Democrat.

He disavowed the rest of the 1979 article while running for the Senate this year.

He is a decorated Vietnam combat veteran, a supposed hard-charging warrior's warrior who has now embraced John Kerry in his bid for the Senate.

He's a writer who is now trying to disavow the contents of books he wrote years ago, saying the pedophilia is "cultural."

He was an adult during all of this transformation. How does somebody change that much after becoming an adult? If doing and saying whatever he needs to at the time to get ahead, and then disavowing it all later when those ideas are no longer popular isn't quintessential Slick Willy, I don't know what is.

But since he was appointed to a political job in the 1970s under Carter did he switch parties to serve in Reagan's administration? I have seen that he was highly critical of Reagan in the first 2 years. What really happened?

He could be nothing more than a self serving phony baloney opportunist.
