Tom had no shot - without Arnold, the recall would have failed and Tom would have been on the back-burner forever.

Now that Arnold has shown him that you don't get anything if you lose, Tom might have a good chance at the big chair.

Good for him... and us.

Well, you may be right. McClintock has first proven his conservative credentials, and now his ability to be a team player, and that should stand him in good stead down the line.
