Somewhere along the road to a "permanent majority," the Republican Revolution of 1994 went off track. For several years, we had confidence in our convictions and trusted that the American people would reward our efforts. And they did.
But today, my Republican friends in Congress stand on the precipice of an electoral rout. Even the best-case scenarios suggest wafer-thin majorities and a legislative agenda in disarray. With eight days before the election, House speaker-in-waiting Nancy Pelosi has already begun her transition planning.
Where did the revolution go astray?

A REALLY tortured premise Dick. Here is what the GOP House tried to get done this year, and it's a lot more than horse meat and gay marriage as you so stupidly claim sounding ever so much like a deceitful Democrat, in this session of Congress but was then bottled up by Parliamentary obstruction tricks by Harry Reid and the Dems:
So stuff a sock in it Dick. Now is not the time for this. You're just making yourself a useful idiot for the Clown Car Media. If you had written a piece warning of the extreme left wing agenda that will come with a Pelosi controlled Congress, do you think the Washington Compost would have published it? But notice they are willing to publish you when you help further their "air of inevitability around a Democratic win" coverage of these elections? We can talk later about what needs to change in the GOP. We all agree we can't go back to the mistakes of this session of Congress. But a week before an important election is NOT the time to be having that discussion and to add fuel to our opponents' fire. Have some common sense you moronic hack! Sheesh. Did you really need some attention that badly?
While some in congress may be letting nancypelosi measure for drapes.......others are still fighting. Polls are not votes folks!
No doubt that the Senate, and Senate rules are a problem. That said, Armey has done good service to our country, and I have more respect for him than I do for Hastert. Period. As to being used by the MSM, I think the charge is unfounded. He sure didn't say vote for the RAT party did he? Yes, let's be clear as to what the RATs agenda is - it's an ugly picure isn't it? We STILL need to tell the voters WHY to vote FOR us, not just what's wrong with the other guys. We are short in that department IMO.
