KHAR, Pakistan Pakistani troops backed by helicopters firing missiles destroyed an Al Qaeda-linked training facility in a northwestern tribal area near the Afghan border Monday, killing "many" militants, officials said.

Sultan said the facility was destroyed but it was not immediately clear how many people had been killed.

Ahhhh, the smell of toasted terrorist. Smells like VICTORY!
Wouldn't DNC headquarters qualify as an "Al-Quaeda Linked Facility"?
All for show...Pakistan is not serious about stopping AQ near the border with Afghan....
In a "Free Republic" this would be all over the news. Unfortunately our news sources have other designs.
Destroying a terrorist facility and maybe killing 80-90 terrorists sounds like more than "show." You might find Gen. Tommy Franks' autobiography, American Soldier, interesting. He writes at length about the discussions with Pakistan prior to the missions in Afghanistan and Iraq.
No pretense anymore. like NYT Headquarters it's an "Al Qaeda facility", drop the "linked"
