In an eye-opening exchange on The O'Reilly Factor this evening (Monday, October 30, 2006), liberal Fox News analyst Juan Williams agreed with host Bill O'Reilly that CNN "is in the tank for the Democrats." The topic of the segment was Friday's testy exchange between Lynne Cheney and CNN's Wolf Blitzer.
O'REILLY: ... But the bigger picture is that Lynne Cheney asserts that CNN, in its election coverage, Juan, is in the tank for the Democrats. You buying that?
WILLIAMS: Yeah. I think that's true.
O'REILLY: (surprised) Do you really?
WILLIAMS: Yeah. I think that they are counter-programming Fox, is what it looks like to me.
O'REILLY: Well, no. MSNBC is doing that.
WILLIAMS: Well -
O'REILLY: You think that CNN's in the tank for the Democrats?
WILLIAMS: Well, I think that "Broken Government" program that Lynne Cheney was talking about - You know, Lynne Cheney made a really strong point when she said, "You know, the economy's doing pretty good. Where's this broken?" I have problems with this administration - look - in terms of American democracy. I don't know. It looks to me, though, that they are becoming more and more partisan. And that's what they think we do here at Fox.
O'REILLY: That's really interesting that you would say that, because Juan, of course, is the king of NPR and a liberal guy himself. Ummm. I don't know. I mean, I have to say. I'm busy here working all day. I'm not watching The Situation Room. I mean, I see the transcripts, but I don't know if they're in the tank.

He's a liberal, yes. He's different from CNN though, because he is intellectually honest about who and what he is. He doesn't feign impartiality and pretend to be delivering opinion as news.
Being a liberal is misguided, but intellectual honesty, in a day and age where it is scarce, commands a certain amount of respect.
Mrs. Cheney is great.
Juan's single rational neuron is firing again? Who'da thunk it?
Time Warner's CNN plays to a global hate America Audience.
He should also have asked: "Do you think CNN is now - and has been since Desert Storm - in the tank for the barbarians?" (Answer: "YES")
CNN is more like the brown stuff inside the tank.
I wish some more 'men' on our side would take a page out of her book...
It was beautiful.
She has a doctorate - she's no slouch. Maybe it should be
"Cheney (Lynn) for President"
Was I hallucinating when I flipped past CNN last night and saw a show called "Where The Right Went Wrong?"
LOL - funny - but so true
O'Reilly better wake up. If history repeats itself, this will get much worse for the next two years. Cnn wasn't called the Clinton News Network for nothing.
And plays it to a tee.
Juan's an old fashioned liberal.
Even worse - it wasn't that the enemy contacted CNN - but something I heard Lynn Cheney say that seemed to slip on by without comment by anyone - was that CNN actually emailed them and asked for them to send them a tape they could use!
There MUST be some laws against this????
Blitzer sputtered, and with no denial, quickly went on on another thread.
We should all email FOX, and all the usual outlets - Rush etc - Remember, if an outlet gets 40-45 emails on a story - they will run it...
The fact that CNN contacted the enemy and asked for the tape is something the people need to know
Maybe that's why they have so many bottom feeders on the payroll.
Leni
CNN has admitted that they have contact with "insurgents" but they stay away from the term terrorist because they want to keep pushing the envelope without question of who, want, when, where, why and how.
Dick Parsons runs Time Warner.
Time Warner runs CNN.
Juan had his eyes opened on his recent book tour. Because he dared to challenge the lib conventional wisdom on race issues, he couldn't get booked on their shows to save his life.
He was a bit embarrassed that his "friends" bailed on him, and basically confirmed everything we've been saying about them for years.
2nd that, in a big way.
