BEIJING - North Korea agreed Tuesday to rejoin six-nation nuclear disarmament talks in a surprise diplomatic breakthrough three weeks after the communist regime conducted its first known atomic test. A U.S. envoy said the talks could resume as early as November.

Chinese, U.S. and North Korean envoys to the negotiations held a day of unpublicized talks in Beijing during which North Korea agreed to return to the larger six-nation talks on its nuclear programs, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.

"The three parties agreed to resume the six-party talks at the earliest convenient time," the Chinese statement said.

My guess the Chia Head made another of his strategic "concessions" as a starting point (a trap) which was as you know no concession at all, the worldwide press and particularly dumbed down CNN and others who don't know DPRK proclaim it as a Bush victory to get hopes up high, then Kim's delegation storms away from the process late this week on some trumped up pretense, all because of US and ***imperialist aggressor BUSH's lack of sincerity*** and gangster-like war mongering attitude, and then on the weekend either engage in DPRK Naval NLL incursions, KPA border guard shooting incidents across the MDL, or pehaps even exploding one more nuke in Pyunggyeri to shock the world again, claiming "This Is All Due to Bush's" lack of sincerity and war mood....he'd then let the US Western leftist media--and they would only love to oblige--go to town on it for three days before US elections. KHI is the kind of person to do that to try to impact the US middterm elections. A lot at stake for him and holding out another 28 months for President Hilary and Madeline Albright is getting tough! He certainly wants a castrated Bush in the final two years of office and also wants a Dem House and Senate to urge US policy on to *engagement* and away from isolation.

That is certainly possible. China could throw a curve ball by agreeing with N. Koreans, that is, that U.S. is indeed insincere. China is certainly capable of such a mischief.

I hope U.S. has big stick ready, in case things go south. The means to intimidate Chinese and N. Koreans respectively. Not necessarily military but more like financial & human right offensive. It would also help if Abe says a few ominous words along with his underlings.
