He wasn't attacking Bush. He didn't say anything resembling "he left the poor etc. in the military to serve in Iraq." He said what he meant and he meant what he said. He thinks military servicemen and women are stupid and uneducated.
Yes, he believes that....my point is that he probably said it as a veiled attack on Bush saying he led these people into war and did not provide a way for them to be educated etc.
Of course, Kerry is wrong. But, even he is not dumb enough to say military people are stupid without some reason.
That does not make what he said any less reprehensible. He has attacked our service men and women as somehow dumb, and that is beyond disgusting.
