You've got to wonder about John Kerry's eye-hand coordination. His career is falling into a pattern. Whenever Kerry is confronted with a big decision, he tries to compensate for his last mistake. He voted against the first Iraq war, which turned out to be a success. So when the second one came around, he swallowed his misgivings and voted for it. That also turned out to be a mistake. So when it came time to vote for the $87 billion to fund the war that he had voted for, he produced what must be the single most damaging sound bite in modern political history by voting for it before he voted against it.
So now, when U.S. troops are suffering their worst casualties in nearly two years, he insulted them. Could Karl Rove have dreamed up a better October surprise than having the Democrats' most recent choice for Commander in Chief suggest that the men and women are dying there because they weren't smart enough to get into law school?
His initial impulse, predictably enough, was to fight back against the criticism. He didn't want to fall again into what turned out to be the biggest trap of 2004, when he failed to understand that a relatively small ad buy from a group that no one had ever heard of could be more damaging than he imagined. He was determined not to be "swift-boated" again. So he declared: "If anyone owes our troops in the fields an apology, it is the President and his failed team and a Republican majority in the Congress that has been willing to stamp rubber-stamp policies that have done injury to our troops and to their families."

He will be the only who doesnt know its his funeral..
I was effectively dead and buries in 11/04. He is just to dang stupid to know it.
"He will be the only who doesnt know its his funeral.."
BWAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAA HAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!
(The term "hoisted on one's own petard" comes to mind.)
He took Colmes to the woodshed last night, telling him he was full of balogne.
I am curious to know what Australians think of Kerry. Do they see him for the buffoon that we do?
His national political career might be over, but not his Mass. career. He will be voted senator in Mass. as long as he wants the job, just like Fatboy Kennedy.
Unfortunately, the Swimmer seems to have the life expectancy of his mother. Did anyone even run against him this time?
After this, most certainly! I understand, though, the French are still quite fond of him.
SCREW THE FROGS!!!
Should there be mandatory intelligence testing in Massachusetts? How can they keep on re-electing these donkeys?
Tells ya loads about the stupids of Mass. doesn't it?
Imagine the phone calls to Kerry, and he's dreamed of being on the dem party speed dial for months. Howie Carr of the Boston Herald and WRKO should be a fun read today. (HowieCarr.com)
his comments should have been...
if you study hard...you will do well....
if you don't study hard...you can marry millions like he did....
and then criticize the troops!!!
kerry should put an RIP on his political aspirations for the presidency....even the lib/dems know he is radioactive!!!!
J F'n K.
Still fighting (losing) the Vietnam War, all by himself.
He was a Vietnam hero, right? (barf)
I don't have the stomach to actually have a look over there, but there must be some 'interesting' comments about Kerry at DU and dailykos right now.
"Details of funeral arrangements for the political career of Senator John F'n Kerry will be announced shortly."
Wish this were true, but JF'nK hails from the state with the most brain-dead voters in the nation. After all, they've been voting Ted "The Swimmer" Kennedy into office for decades after he covered up a killing. Too bad the rest of the country has to suffer for their lack of good morals and good sense.
Maybe THIS will get some of those stupid Kerry-Edwards bumper stickers taken off. I could get them a bunch of Kucinich stickers they could use instead.
I can hear James Carville now, "That John F'n Kerry!"
His only talent is marrying rich woment.
