The House districts are so small that polling is unreliable, so the pollsters shy away from their data this close to the election.

Yes, the money is on the house, and therefore, funding for the border fence and tax cuts, to be gone.

The last I saw was on MSNBC that showed 8 Republican House seats leaning Rat and 10 toss-ups meaning that usually 90% leaning one way will win and toss-ups 70% incumbents will win. Republicans will lose 8-11 seats if they don't gain anything from Rats seats.

I really want the house as it is closer to the voters.

Republicans loosing 15 or fewer seats would be better than the average for a mid-term election of a 2 term president.

Sorry: lose, not loose
We gained 6 seats in 2002.

Lose. Thanks. Did I say I wanted the House for us? I am still optimistic as I believe the polls are wrong.

That would be a serious wipeout. But if Haggard is being used as a reason for losing house races...I am not sure I can trust the validity of the analysis.
To: bnelson44
I don't trust electoral-vote.com as they called the presidental race way wrong and they lean left so anything they say isn't credible to me.

In other family-values related news, Ted Haggard, the president of the National Association of Evangelicals, resigned yesterday after a male prostitute said that Haggard had paid him for sex for three years. Haggard has issued the usual pro forma denial, but church officials say the story is basically true. This news item is related to the election because Haggard has campaigned very hard for a proposition on the ballot in Colorado (where Haggard lives) that would ban gay marriages in the state. This seemingly endless series of scandals (Sherwood choking his mistress, Haggard hiring a gay prostitute, Sweeney beating his wife, Foley soliciting teenage boys, etc.) could cause some "family values" voters to stay home Tuesday. I thought I should quote the part I referenced. This is "wishful-thinkalysis" in my opinion.

Nice breakdown. We need the toss-up to break toward the GOP. Hopefully, the other issues on the ballot will get people to the polls.

I'm afraid that we will all be sick on Tuesday. The sad reality is that most people are pissed at W over Iraq and they want to make his party pay on election day. For the people that are actually predicting House and Senate gains for us, I want what they are drinking. The only bright side of this cycle is that Tennessee(my home state) is going to keep our seat Republican.
