This Proposition is about marriages being between a man and a woman. The propaganda opposing this proposition is absolutely hilarious. They have dragged out some "firefighter" who has been shacked up with some woman for 20 years and they are afraid that if this proposition passes, his shack job and her child won't be able to be on his health insurance policy. He didn't want to "share" with us why he and his "partner" didn't want to get married. (Welfare - whisper mode/off). Anyway. The propaganda opposing this proposition doesn't ever mention homosexuals. Funny stuff.
McCain is obviously burnishing his social conservative credentials with this one. I saw the ad on TV last evening and couldn't believe my eyes, quite frankly. It was shown all over the Phoenix metro area.
Good for him. I wonder if Sen. McCain volunteered for this assignment, or had to be cajoled??
Do you know McCain to be cajoled into anything these last few years?
They've been playing an ad without McCain in it for the past couple of days. It's similar to the two ads on their website, very straightforward and truthful, without all the spin of the other side ("why take away benefits?"). It explains why the state constitution needs to be amended in simple terms that even the mouth-breathers can understand.
I'm voting YES.
