Iraq urges calm ahead of Saddam verdict

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraq's prime minister on Saturday urged his countrymen to accept the impending verdict against Saddam Hussein without violence, then in the next breath declared the former dictator must get "what he deserves" with the decision that could send him to the gallows.
Maybe this is the "October Surprise." I'll really believe it if they hang him tommorrow.

I can see Saddam showing up at the gates and finding the 72 virgins in dominatrix leathers holding bull whips. While the theme from Deliverance is playing they grab him by the collar and say, "Git down on yer hands and knees boy, we are goin' to make you squeal like a pig!"
Got here in January '04 (was supporting the Army then) and haven't managed to leave yet. ;-)

Actually I don't like shopping but I have made myself go out and get a new 40 inch LCD television and one thing led to another. And I did all of that so I could get lost in movies or sports or anything besides the politics that were killing me :)

Christmas presents (and some for me). I HAD too...hadn't bought a thing and was getting nervous that I was never going to get out. I just don't care this year and I can't MAKE myself buy a bunch of stuff that no one really wants or NEEDS. bah humbug.

By this time next week I should be able to get rid of my uni-brow because I'll be able to actually see what I'm doing...Yippee!!!

I believe all of the networks get their courtroom video from pool cameras - so it's the same for Fox, CNN, CBS, Sky, etc. - but the networks use different translators. Perhaps Sky and Fox will use the same translator, but different anchors.
I'm watching the Worthington Trial on CourtTV during the week......had to turn off the news. I actually was getting physically ill over the politics......so I understand about the TV!!
Oh, if they proclaim Saddam "GUILTY," there is an EXCELLENT chance of citizens celebrating in the streets.
