While that group went too far in impugning the basis for Mr. Kerry's combat awards, it brought overdue reckoning to a man who had branded hundreds of thousands of living and dead warriors as berserk brutes.

No they did not! Mr. Kerry could have defused the whole issue if he released his DD180. He did not. He told Tim Russert he would release it but he did not. If there was not anything in his record that is damming he would have released his DD180. He did not.

I have always suspected he got a less than honorable discharge that was then changed to honorable under the Carter Administration. His collusion with the North Vietnamese at the Paris Peace talks when he was still in the Naval Reserve would have been grounds for a less than honorable discharge.

The man is pond scum whose actions and words have put our military in harms way for the last forty years.
