Since I read Leon Uris' The Haj years ago, I was aware of everything in "Obsession." I've seen parts of it, and I would say as good as it is, the dvd still does not convey entirely the true savagery of these people.

I agree, both as to the savagry of that "culture" and the exceptional wisdom of the book.

NOTE TO ALL: Find a copy of The Haj, by Leon Uris and read it. You'll gain a great deal of insight into the Israeli-Palestinian issue as well as to the entire Arab culture.
