Yeah, why the hell shred ballots? Recount 'expected'?
I don't know if they are being shredded or not. My first take is that they aren't, but this is what someone told me.
You know what, I just remember that someone said while I was there that at the end of the day, the ballots go into a 'big black special bag'. So I would say that they definitely are NOT shredded. I better call my friend to let her know that she is mistaken.
