OK. Would one of you smart Freepers clear this up for me? What does "age of consent" really mean?
The popular impression is that it is the minimum age one must attain before being able to consent to sexual congress. But it may more specifically be the minimum age one must attain before being able to consent to marry.
Either way, 14 is way too young. 18 should be the minimum as far as I am concerned. But I sure would like to know this phrase's legal meaning!

It's the age at which someone can legally consent to sex.
