Talent has conceded. Allen is down about 8,000 votes. Burns is done.

It is official. I do not know which is worse. Tonight, or tomorrow watching the MSM start doing stories on the miracles already happening since the dems took control.

I may be slow, but did Steele concede?

that's true (standard media m/o, just like when Clinton won in '92) - what's different here though is that, almost certainly, violence will increase in Iraq and elsewhere as the terrorists seize the initiative that's been granted to them and UBL et. al. will soon start crowing about, too.

The Republicans Refused to Seat Democrats prior to the Civil War.

Welcome to two years of gridlock. Candidates on both sides jockeying for '08. It will be ugly.

If Republicans can learn a lesson and return to real conservatism, if Dems are exposed for the hate-filled moonbats they are, then maybe some good will come out of this.

Look at it this way: the country has 2 years to get mad at Democrats all over again, and build up reasons to vote for a Republic President in 2008.

Unemployment numbers will go up a half point but suddenly we'll have this wonderful Democrat economy.

Depressing as the losses are, this is a one point lead for the Dems in the Senate (and we lost Gangster Dewine and Loser Chafee) and maybe a dozen in the house.

That ain't much of a majority.

I will have to research it but I dare say this will be the most closely divided Congress in our history.

If I am not mistaken, Barrone said earlier that they were counting them tonight.

I keep saying this,

The political pendulum is alway swinging.

But we work to keep it swings to the left short.

We gotta earn it every time.

2 years is not a long time.

I enjoy being on offense better anyways.

Sadly, Steele will not be able to make it (but I don't think he conceeded yet). It's grown too big. He ran a remarkable campaign - probably the best senate campaign this year - gaining 45% of the vote in a heavily reflexive Dem state against a machine candidate in a terrible election year for Republicans. His star is not done. I still see great things for Mike Steele. God bless him.

Democrats revive economy! Unemployment at all time low and DOW at all time high! Gas prices plummet from $2.40 to $2.33!

The sad thing is the Republicans could have easily won tonight. If they just would have balanced the budget, end the pork spending, fight the war in Iraq non politically correct, and control immigration. Then we would probably be looking at gains and not loses.

Just for the record the Dems that won were conservative Dems. And Bush is still in the White House.
