Yeah, I heard the same thing out of Allen.

They always say that, its part of the tradition. The question is...is it just the tradition....or is it really true.

No kidding! The race is tightening, and the precincts that have not yet reported are mostly in counties that are supporting Burns. I still think that Tester will win, but I'm not betting the ranch just yet.

Stick a fork in him.
Looks to me like there Dems areas that are outstanding.
DAMN, I really thought we'd hold the Senate.
Only hope now is Absentees in Virginia and Montana, and that's a LONGshot.

I'd say glancing
at the results, it's over for Burns. There are Democrat counties yet to report.

I've looked at the numbers. The biggest counties with outstading ballots seem to be dem counties. Stick a fork in him. This night is over. The sunshine crowd who have been telling us to ignore polls for the last few weeks and who have told us to ignore all indications tonight might as well give up. We've lost. Its over. Its crushing. And the effects on our country will be profound.
To: balch3
They have tightened up the last few minutes but it'd take a good bit of luck.
To: balch3
It's NOT over yet - with 73% of precints reporting, Tester is clutching to a mere 50%-48% lead over Burns. It could still come home to Burns, as the race hasn't been called yet. For some reason Virginia hasn't been either.
Let's pray for a miracle - we haven't had very many tonight *sad*

No, I think it's over for Burns. There's too many Democrat counties yet to even report in.

Amazing. Earlier this place was abuzz with triumphalism saying the doom of the Rats was at hand and the death knell of the MSM was sounding, their polls to be proved wrong to the world.
Now we're desperately clinging to a Senate seat in Montanta that, if lost, will put us at the mercy of the Dems--who will show no hesitation to flex their newfound muscles.
The GOP could have done so much. Instead it chose consensus-building, which is a fool's errand. Now the Dems will show them how a majority party rules.

It is over my FRiend, we lost the Senate and the House. However we still have the Presidency, the most powerful institution and more powerful than both the House and the Senate combined. Let us support our President Bush so he can continue to lead in the war on terror, and now lead us against the democrat liberal Congress here at home.
