Are you a gun owner? If so, the ascension of Nancy Pelosi to Speakerette of the House, and the probable capture of the Senate by the Democrats, bodes ill. To paraphrase an old song....They're coming to take'em away..ha-ha...they're coming to take 'em away......!

A lot of the new dems elected in normally GOP districts ran as pro-gun.
They will get their talking to when they arrive, vote for pelosi's first gun grabbing bill, and be booted out in 2008.
Pelosi and the dems didn't run on their core beleifs. If they had, the results of last night would have been reversed.

I don't think that they're THAT dumb. They remember 1994. The NRA had more to do with 1994 than the "Contract with America".

I imagine that a re-do of the AWB will be high on the lib. to-do list.

The best thing Miss America could do, is get her new 'moderate' dems to sign onto more gun control. It will never pass the Senate and will expose them for what they are.

They remember 1994. The NRA had more to do with 1994 than the "Contract with America".In 1994, the issue was Liberty.
When Liberty is the issue, we win - big.

Not right now. But as of now, the incoming leadership of the House of Representatives consists of people who want to ban ownership of all firearms.

many of the new Dems are conservative....that is how they won. They are beholden to pelosi, and when has a democrat ever kept his/her word.

You wish. If Americans had the guts, the lib would not have won back so many seats. If anything, this election proves that the general population of the US has no guts to stand up for what is right. The liberalization (wussification)of the US is nearly complete.
And if 2008 reflects more of the same (read that Hildebeast as POTUS), no further evidence will be necessary. Our Republic will officially be dead.

Speaking of the Senate, if the Dems get control of the Senate, I wonder how long it will take them to change the filibuster rules if the Republicans decide to filibuster one of their bills.
