So unless Chafee throws Bush a bone and lets him out of committee, Bolton is gone.

John Bolton is the single best figure in the Bush Administration. The only acceptable excuse for Bolton leaving is that he genuinely wants to leave -- and only if President Bush then nomimates someone just like him.
