Why is a bipartisan summit on the state of the Iraq war a bad idea? At this point this type of thing is worth a shot isn't it? Obviously there have been a few problems with the current approach

See my post #15. This is an old Democrat trick. "Summit meetings" mean "bend over and take it up the you-know-what and sell out your party."

Nancy Pelosi is Speaker of the House. She is not the co-Commander in Chief.

Some people there is just no point talking to.

Right away, Pelosi is looking for cover. They have no ideas to better prosecute the war. Where have they been these past 3.5 years? At every opportunity the rats have hobbled our war making capability. A so-called summit would imply the rats give a rip about victory and elevate a demented marxist to the level of a good man, our President.

Because the current approach was to keep the United Nations, Eurotwits and US Socialists like pelosi happy!

Bush needs to take the time before they swear these idiots in, to bomb the living Hell -o out of several major arab cities and muslim strongholds.

Then Bush can say with pride: There! Take that! WOT problem solved. Impeach me now.

Do you really think she means what she says? "Bipartisan" summit my ass. It will be a political witch hunt designed to embarass Bush, nothing more. Pelosi does not have a bipartisan bone in her body.

And you think Pelosi and Reid are great military minds who can do this all better then the US Military? Hey, maybe if we're lucky, Nanc will invite Al Sharpton and John Kerry to speak. Kerry can tell us to just bring all the dumb kids home. Oh, wait, even better: let's have Murtha run this summitt.

Waging war by committee has never won a battle.

Because any decision that comes out of the 'summit' will automatically be associated in the minds of the electorate with the president.
