"But she and other Democrats promise oversight hearings that could explore such matters as whether he manipulated the facts to build early support for the Iraq war."

More mindless moonbat dead end crap that wastes everyones time for nothing. Flashbacks to Iran/Contra nonsense.
Hell, if they want to go that way, fine, lets slog through justification for the war all over again. We have far more info now then before with all the captured docs.

I never understood that "controversy" anyway. What does taking 53 Americans hostage for 444 days and the Shah being deposed have to do with "Contra?"

I was too young to know what all that was about.

But of course there will be NO investigation of the real and crucial mistakes, e.g. the failure to meaningfully implement -- indeed the active CIA and State Department subversion of -- the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998.

This might have made the war either completely unnecessary, with a free Iraqi government and army operating in the "No-Fly" zones gradually leaching power away from Saddam; or at least would have provided a government in exile to which sovereignty could have been transfered almost immediately, and several trained Iraqi brigades, if not a division or two, that could have participated in the liberation of their own country. Hindsight easily indicates the profound differences in outcome this would have made.

IOW it'll all be about, "why we really shouldn't have fought," and nothing about our woeful failure to prepare for a conflict that was foreseeable many years in advance, and for which Congress itself repeatedly allocated funds and reiterated its intent, which funds the responsible parties pissed off and which intent they pissed on.
