so republicans are blameless?
Bingo, lets see how they take it when we call THEM for everything..
Dems responsible? For about 6 months, they'll be on their best behavior implementing their liberal leftist agenda. Then when the 08 elections get closer, they'll be striking with all force. It's a battle, folks!
This is pretty simple, did'nt think I needed to explain...........Yes, Repubs blew it big time, they thought they were infallable, but how many dems came on TV and said "the republicans control everything, so they need to be held accountable"
Easy to understand....................I thought.
True. Probably the one hopeful glimmer in this cloud.
Rahm Emanuel was a genius in selecting candidates that were to the right of center to run against certain targetted candidates. In many cases there was very little difference between the two candidates. Then they began to bring out any negative positions they took in the past 2-4 years and accentuated it in ads. Since there wasn't much of a track record for the competition and an obliging media they got a free pass.
This is exactly what the GOP has to do. Come up with their own game plan, target certain seats and put the plan into action.
That statement can be taken two different ways and I'll guarantee you that the Dems won't be "responsible" in either one of them.
it does seem a battle indeed..between those who wish to hold elected representatives accountable and those who will excuse anything as long as it's along party lines
I think the "veto pen" is in the Smithsonian.
Unfortunately we have men and women in harms way.
I am very interested in how the price of gas will go now that the dims are in power. The dop in pump prices didn;t help the Pubs any. I, along with others, hope the downward trend continues. A little voice is telling me to stash some cash away because it's on the way up again.
Agreed.
It may appear to be a good strategy now, but what happens two years from now when Pelosi and the San Francisco wing of the Party starts twisting their arms?
Case in point...the GOP Congress forced Clinton to sign comprehensive welfare reform after he vetoed it. Today, Clinton takes credit for the benefits derived from that.
Anything negative happening on President Bush's watch will fall on his shoulders...in the typical voter's mind.
Don't look at them if you are so offended. From what I can tell, this "vanity" stirred a lot of comments.
The moderator has not seen fit to remove vanities, and besides...respectifully, I ask, who made you the vanity police??
Oh, right on, that is where the targetting comes in.
do you honestly think this will be the outcome of this? I doubt it for one in this the dems have shown the republicans many shady ways to subvert the process..it's not like the dems have a super majority
