Just the majority that voted. The 'Broken Glass' Republicans were no-shows yesterday. They wanted to teach the Republicans in leadership a lesson. Hard lesson. Now we will have 2 years of soft Dems negotiating with terrorists. You can't negotiate with people who have no regard for their own lives. You simply have to kill them. The Dems don't get that. It will take several years to get back to the place we are now, and that will happen only if we can prevail in 2008.

Actually, I believe it will be shown that the "moderates" - those people the GOP has been pandering to while they tell us conservatives to "kiss off" - were the no-shows yesterday.

No kidding! How quickly people forgot President Bush's quick fulfillment of his promise to kill or capture the persons behind the 9-11 attacks. If it hadn't been for that Osama bin Laden and his thugs might have murdered countless thousands more on trains in Spain, subways in Britain, vacationers in Malaysia, schoolchildren in Russia, and on and on. Just the carnage in Africa alone would have been in the tens or hundreds of thousands. They might even have thought to send Al Qaeda fighters to Iraq to kill and maim our troops had the president and congress not acted so swiftly to stop our enemies. And thank goodness they moved promptly to secure our borders, detain Muslims within our own nation and ceased Muslim immigration instead of increasing it. Any lesser group of politicians would have avoided the hard fight and imposed new laws on the entire nation to address the faults of a few.
