Just for the record: The missing words in my post (e.g, for many years) are completely my fault and not my mac's.

Its amazing how no amount of previewing is ever enough...

I have been poking around in the dust bins this holiday for nuggets and I stumbled on this one. Two thoughts came to mind:

1. Steve Jobs rescued Apple awhile back when they were about to go under, showing that it can't be run as just another business. You need a chief geek to keep things moving in the right direction. I hope this incident isn't another instance of the rot that was apple before Jobs returned. Although I don't use Apples, their products have been good for the industry.

2. Maybe 30 years ago one of the beer companies (Miller, I think) got in trouble with an ad that showed a guy and a mountain lion, deriding the idea that someone would take his beer. It ended something like (saying to his large cat)"Say hello to your lunch". Threatening your potential customers with being eaten by a mountain lion just didn't seem appropriate.

Well, you get what you pay for :)
