Democrats are set to subpoena

WASHINGTON — Rep. Ike Skelton knows what he will do in one of his first acts as chairman of the Armed Services Committee in the Democratic-led House: resurrect the subcommittee on oversight and investigations.

The panel was disbanded by the Republicans after they won control of Congress in 1994. Now, Skelton (D-Mo.) intends to use it as a forum to probe Pentagon spending and the Bush administration's conduct of the Iraq war.

It has been 12 years since Democrats were in control of both the House and Senate. But they are looking to make up for lost time, and in some cases, make the Bush administration and its business allies sweat.

With control of every committee in Congress starting in January, the new majority will inherit broad powers to subpoena and investigate. And that is expected to translate into wide-ranging and contentious hearings.

The agenda is likely to be dominated by the Iraq war, but could include probes into the Bush administration's warrantless surveillance, environmental policies and new prescription-drug program for seniors. Industries, such as oil companies, could also come under closer scrutiny.

Is it too late for a nationwide recall election of all Dem'crat congressional members?

Or are they going to confine their entire political activity to endless investigative committee meetings and hearings?

That's no way to run a railroad.

Rumsfeld knew quite well what was coming. Got out before the roof fell in.

The balance between the MSM and the New Media swings more toward the latter every year.

What they have done for the last two years indeed made the electorate angry - angry enough to throw the Republicans out on their ears. Now they can do the same thing, but with teeth. Don't count on the tactic to backfire.

Remember, they got the MSM on their side.

You will never kill a snake by cutting off the tail. Time to go for the head!

You know if there was an organized conservative boycott of all MSM advertizers, they would be destroyed in a matter of months! The DNC would have no voice, because they cannot be financed without equal time by law! So cancel your newspapers, magazines and watch the evening news to target advertizers for economic extermination, under the guise that they support a press that hates you because of your political beliefs.

During these days we need to spread the word and get more Americans listening to the New Media by using bumper stickers of our favorite local AM Radio Stations and by word of mouth.

NOW MORE THAN EVER BEFORE WE MUST EXPOSE THE LIES OF THE MSM TO AMERICA

Of course, that's not ALL I'm gonna do, but it will feel good to flaunt a few self-righteous "I told you so's" to all those Americans who DIDN'T vote.
