British spies are watching 1,600 people in 200 cells believed to be plotting terrorist acts in Britain or overseas, according to the head of Britain's domestic spy agency.
She described the terrorists' "propaganda machine" as "sophisticated," noting that footage of attacks in Iraq is posted on the Internet within 30 minutes, facilitated by teams that edit the video, translate the audio into many languages and package the material for a global audience. "And, chillingly, we see the results here," she said. "Young teenagers being groomed to be suicide bombers."
The spy chief said her agency was currently aware of about 30 plots, which "often have links back to al Qaeda in Pakistan."

Transcript of MI5 Chief's full speech Direct excerpts (recommend reading the full speech):
What I can say is that today, my officers and the police are working to contend with some 200 groupings or networks, totalling over 1600 identified individuals (and there will be many we don't know) who are actively engaged in plotting, or facilitating, terrorist acts here and overseas. The extremists are motivated by a sense of grievance and injustice driven by their interpretation of the history between the West and the Muslim world. This view is shared, in some degree, by a far wider constituency. If the opinion polls conducted in the UK since July 2005 are only broadly accurate, over 100,000 of our citizens consider that the July 2005 attacks in London were justified.
What we see at the extreme end of the spectrum are resilient networks, some directed from Al-Qaida in Pakistan, some more loosely inspired by it, planning attacks including mass casualty suicide attacks in the UK. Today we see the use of home-made improvised explosive devices; tomorrow's threat may include the use of chemicals, bacteriological agents, radioactive materials and even nuclear technology.
The propaganda machine is sophisticated and Al-Qaida itself says that 50% of its war is conducted through the media. In Iraq, attacks are regularly videoed and the footage downloaded onto the Internet within 30 minutes. Virtual media teams then edit the result, translate it into English and many other languages, and package it for a worldwide audience. And, chillingly, we see the results here. Young teenagers being groomed to be suicide bombers.

It will be only a matter of time that the Holy Warriors get a nuclear weapon and summgle it into our nation and blow it up.
Their fanatical goal is to destroy us. They have money, organization and an army to carry that mission out.
With the Dems in charge, the next two years would be the perfect time to strike.

That is PC BS.
They've been acting the same way since 700 AD.

Wouldn't you know it, when the appeasing demon-rats take over Congress, a new plot by thousands of terrorists is uncovered against the West. I wonder what the demon-rats are willing to give them in exchange for their "promise" not to harm us? Maybe nuclear technology if they promise not to use it for military purposes? Maybe even missile guidance system technology if they promise not to aim their missiles at the United States or Britain? How 'bout giving the Muslims in America all of New England in exchange for a promise that they will not use this as a point of invasion into the rest of the country? Maybe by telling them that we intend to completely disarm so that we will not appear to be a threat to anyone.....and then actually doing it?

They have told us when they are going to attempt it.
From the Der Spiegel interviews: Fourth Phase - 2010-2013 - attempt to bring down US economy via oil attacks and cyber-terrorism.
Imho cyber-terrorism is code for a nuke.

if the UK is hit by a WMD - what do you think, I figure that's at least a 3 day story by the US media.
That is, unless they can find some new Foley IMs.

EVEN al Qaeda ADMITS the Media is their propoganda machine & yet people simply refuse to bleeive that al Qaeda has used the media to shape people's minds about the war- making htem lose the nerve and call for pulling the troops out. Criminy, what's it going to take to get people to understand that voting for far left democrats is voting AGAINST America, and FOR terrorism? Wahhhh we want 'change' Well folks- we're in for 'change' alright- Better get your affairs in order cuz it's comming!
